The Kosovo War was the first international event that I remember during my childhood. It was in 1998 and 1999.

Facing one of the highest unemployment rates in Europe, Kosovars are fleeing their country in search of work and the possibility of a brighter future in the EU.

Kosovo is one of the youngest countries in the world; it only gained its independence from Serbia on February 17th, 2008. Many countries such as France, Belgium, and the United States recognize this independence. 10 years has passed since this event, but for Belgrade, despite different currencies, languages, and even alphabets, Kosovo is still considered to be a Serbian province.

I went to see how things are going there.
